I grew up in Storm Lake, Iowa. I graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1991. My wife is Misty and we have 2 sons. My oldest son is Easton and my youngest is Andan. We have two dogs that we rescued, Laila & Mila.
I attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado from 1991-1993. I received my Associate of Arts degree from Iowa Central Community College in 1995 and my Bachelor of Science degree from Buena Vista University in 1998.
My first teaching job was at Sibley-Ocheyedan MS/HS from 1999-2005. I taught Social Studies & Driver's Education. I also coached HS Football & Boys' Basketball. My second teaching job was at Ar-We-Va from 2005-2008. I was Technology Coordinator and taught Social Studies. I coached HS Football & JH Boys' Basketball and Track. I was at Coon Rapids-Bayard from 2007-2013. I was Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, JH Boys' Track Coach, Webmaster and taught Social Studies and Technology. I taught Driver's Ed at IKM-Manning starting in summer of 2007 through 2016. I taught technology from 2013-2016. I also coached MS Football and MS Girls' Track during this time. I was FIRST Lego League coach and FIRST Tech Challenge coach as well. In August of 2016 I moved back to Sibley-Ocheyedan being named 5/6 Technology teacher and Head Football coach. |
